India International Dance Congress – Or IIDC as it is fondly called was started in the year 2012 with the simple objective to better the Latin dance community in India. From its humble origins and massive growth – Bringing the best of the world to India – Year after year, the sole purpose of the festival has remained the same – Better the Latin dance scene in India.

Championships:
IIDC has always set the benchmark for championships in Asia. With the most elite of dancers as judges, and a separate day for championships, the Asian Open Championship at IIDC is what most dancers aim for. The growth of the championships from 2017 (16 categories and 200 plus competitors) to 2018 (27 Championship Categories!) sets IIDC in the top number of Championships in any Salsa festival in the world!

Social Dancing:
IIDC boasts a 12,000 Square foot hall for championships and performances viewing which also doubles as a dance floor for the Salsa room! Along with a separate Sensual room for Bachata and Kizomba – IIDC has the best social dancing experience in the country!

Artists:
The artists of IIDC have always been the best of the world, and IIDC boasts of being the first and only festival to get many of the superstars of Latin dancing to India – Eddie Torres, Eddie Torres Jr., Karen y Ricardo, Carine y Raphael, Ronald y Alba, Fernando Sosa, Tarek and Debbie, Isabelle y Felician, Alien Ramirez, Oliver Pineda, Jordan Tatiana - and the list goes on!

Performances:
IIDC has 3 nights of power packed and entertaining performance nights – featuring the best of both local and international talents. With a trend of having a production nights (Usually on Saturday night) – the past few years have been houseful shows with latecomers having difficulty finding seating in our massive auditorium.

Food and extras:
With quirky and innovative food stalls and food trucks, to stalls that sell dance shoes, ethnic Indian wear and so on, IIDC has an excellent choice of in-house food and shopping experiences.

Venue:
With arguably one of the best properties in Bangalore, and only a few kilometres away from the Airport – Not only do you get to be away from the hustle of the city, you also have a breathtakingly beautiful venue to enjoy the festival in.
